Last week, Kerrigan and Lowdermilk went on a little trip to St. Davids, PA and taught a week-long musical theatre writing workshop at the Young People’s Theatre Workshop summer camp. For those of you up on your K-L lore, this is the famed camp where Kerrigan and Lowdermilk first did “Little Shop of Horrors” playing Audrey and Seymour respectively (we’re still trying to dig up that video).

This week they worked with a group of 14 students to write an original musical. Their students wrote everything: melodies, plot, dialogue, and lyrics. Their musical was entitled “Up and Down” and it’s about an elevator that has an existential crisis.
