This morning I was feeling dressy.
Mother thinks I’ll get it messy,

But it wasn’t on my party dress.
John Michael once made fun of soccer,
So I stuffed him in a locker.
I play soccer and I play the flute.
I do art,
And discovery camp,

And I play piano every night.
My dad says I’m a prodigy,
But I think I would rather be
The FBI or CIA,
A secret spy who saves the day,

When I do pirouettes it rustles.
I buy all my clothes in Brussels.

But we went to Iceland.
And in Iceland,
My dad presided
Over an international corporate trade hearing…
Woops, that was a secret.
And we saw the Reykjavik Ballet.
My dance class is on Saturday.

This song is sung by Henry’s six-year-old cousin Annie upon her arrival in the country. She has come for a visit and she is very proud of her outfit, which (to her dismay) has not yet been acknowledged by Henry and his parents.

I really would love to do this song for my high school thespian competition but I don’t know anyone that can be my accompianist.. do you know of anywhere that I can get a cd or tape of this song? It’s just utterly perfect

I would post this question on our forum. We don’t have a prerecorded track (to my knowledge - maybe Brian has different information…) but I know that there were a few different people who at some point were looking for a track for the song so they might have solved the problem and they might be able to hook you up with something. This is just about the coolest song I have heard lately…. I love the childish innocence you can play with when singing it! I intend to learn it
Also, to the person who said Jenni Barber is good, I agree, but also have you seen Colleen? I’m not sure what her last name is but her youtube channel is psychosoprano - she’s a great performer and does this song justice!

I did this song for my thespian competition as well and I want to say thanks to kait and brian I love your work and my toupe is officially obssesed with your music. We had I belive at least 3 of your songs performed by our troupe and all recived straight superiors and one even showcased. Thanks again I can’t wait to see what you come out with next!

A girl at our district thespian comp. yesterday got Best of Show and Critic’s Choice with this song. We’re the biggest and most competitive district in Florida. The song is perfect.
